Batchelors Farm, Barns Green.

This is a scan of my original postcard showing an interior view of the farm house at Batchelor’s Farm near Horsham in Sussex. This shows their Study in the early 1900’s complete with all furnishings and provides a wonderful insight of the Victorian Era.

  1. Hi, thanks for sharing the wonderful photos. I believe this house was owned by distant ancestors. My 4 x great grandmother was born Ann Goacher in 1796, Ashurst, West Sussex. Ann emigrated to Tasmania in 1829 with her husband James Best and young family. I think it may be one of her siblings that lived at Batchelor Farm?? I’m unable to access my family tree now, but hope to confirm exactly how they are related.
